How does a Grid Connect System work?
Solar panels or photovoltaic cells are usually installed on the north side your roof (where it has the most exposure) in order to capture energy from the sun, which is then converted to electricity. By installing a Grid Connect System, your home and/or business will be connected to the main electricity grid that supplies power to your local area. As your system produces electricity, any excess electricity that you do not use is then fed back into the grid. For those times when you need more electricity than what you are producing, your Grid Connect System automatically transfers it back from the grid.
