Software Requiring Installation Faculty members desiring to have software installed for the semester will be asked to complete a Software Request Form, and provide a copy of the CD-ROM and proof of licensing or a statement of permission from the publisher to install the software by July 10 for the Fall semester, by November 20 for the Winter semester, and by May 7 for the Summer semester. Software Which Requires No Installation If the CD-ROM will run without any installation (it will function from the CD drive without being installed on the hard drive of the computer), then no modifications are necessary in advance. However, faculty members are urged to test the software at the lab well in advance to make sure installation is not required. Even though each student purchases a copy of the CD-ROM that will be used, some software installation is usually required before the CD-ROM will operate properly.
