How does a dogs/bitchs Conformation determine whether the Breeder grants Full or Limited Registration?

0

In order to breed the best possible examples of the breed, which is the goal of breeding purebred dogs, breeders eliminate individuals who fail to meet the Breed Standard from their Breeding Programs. The AKC offers Limited Registration for dogs that differ from the Breed Standard significantly, in the opinion of the breeder. In most cases, these deviations from the Breed Standard may be minor and usually do not effect the dog’s ability to become a healthy, beautiful Companion,Obedience, and/or Agility Competitor. These Limited Registration dogs may compete in most AKC Events with the exception of Conformation Point Shows and Matches.
