How does a Database Administrator update new MSDSs from CD?
When a database administrator needs to add a new MSDS to the library from the MSDSpro CD, the process is very simple. When the new quarterly MSDSpro CD is received, the administrator simply selects “Update from CD”, which updates the searchable index of MSDS documents with all the latest information. The database administrator can choose the exact MSDS desired, and the Product and MSDS will be loaded into the system. If new MSDS documents are included on the new MSDSpro CD, it will be updated in MSDSpro and the previous version can be optionally archived for future needs. This is especially important to comply with legislation that requires employee chemical exposure records be maintained for 30 years.
