HOW DOES A CORPORATION OR LLC APPLY FOR A CERTIFICATE OF AUTHORITY?
A. Before making application with the Board, you must first apply with the Missouri Secretary of State’s office for “Authorization to Transact Business” in Missouri and receive a “Certificate of Good Standing.” Once this has been done, you may then download the Board’s “Certificate of Authority” application directly from the Board’s Web site at http://pr.mo.gov/apelsla-corporations.asp. Your application, when submitted to the Board, must be accompanied by the required fee and the “Certificate of Good Standing” that was issued by the Office of the Missouri Secretary of State.
