A company may request a symbol for trading on The NASDAQ Stock Market by using our on-line form. An applicant to list on The NASDAQ Stock Market may request to reserve a symbol up to six months in advance of an initial listing application submission. One symbol may be reserved, and the reservation will remain in place for up to six months. The NASDAQ Stock Market does not reserve symbols for the OTCBB or the Pink Sheets.

A company may request a symbol for trading on The NASDAQ Stock Market by using our on-line form. An applicant to list on The NASDAQ Stock Market may request to reserve a symbol up to 24 months in advance of an initial listing application submission. A company may request up to three symbols, and the reservations will remain in place for up to 24 months. Symbols not used during the 24-month reservation period will be made free and available for other potential applicants. Reserved symbols can be released at any time with given notice. Additional symbol reservations can then be made if the applicant wishes to change its reserved symbols, assuming the new symbols are free and available.
