How does a combination class work?
The logistics of a combination classroom allow a student ample time to work on independent work. They generally spend anywhere from 120 to 180 minutes of classtime working on assignments. If this work were to be simply sent home it is possible that homework would be several hours each night. In a combination classroom your child will have less homework because they have enough time to generally complete the independent assignment in class. During instruction days no homework is given. The follow-up homework to the instruction is given on the following day when the child has independent time.
