How does a Canadian Social Service Worker work in Usa?
I am not in Ohio…but the Midwest, and could possibly give you some assistance. If you have a degree in Social Work (my experience), and wish to have it validated for US credentials, you would probably want to contact the Ohio Chapter of the National Association of Social Workers, or the National Association itself. They may direct you to the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE), a body that audits colleges and universities to ensure that they are adhering to the statutes that make up a Bachelor, Master, or Doctoral Social Work education. Beyond that, if you are simply seeking to work for a state or local social service agency, you would merely need to provide your credentials (often employers will accept foreign credentials if you can prove you have a degree from a recognized Canadian college or university and the subsequent knowledge required to perform job tasks), prove that you are eligible to work within the US (through citizenship or a work VISA), and pass other requirements
