a barcode reader uses laser technology. the laser beam is moved across the pattern of bars in a bar code. these bars reflects the beams in different ways the reflective beam is then sensed by light sensitive dector,which then converts the light pattern into electict pulse technology there by transmitinmg them into logic circuits for futhrer conversion into alphamuneric value.
