How does a banana tree reproduce?

0

same as any other tree(they are actually a large perrenial herb). they have flowers that get pollinated and produce fruit (bananas) iside the fruit are seeds (those little black bits, theyre much bigger in wild ones), the seeds are then scattered by animals eating the fruit(cultivated bananas dont have viable seeds) and the seeds grow into banana plants. they also reproduce by Rhizomes which are underground stems from the original plant(it dies off everytime it has fruited) these can then sprout up and create a new plant, though technically it is still the same plant that died or a clone of that plant.
