How does 911 Emergency Services work with Voipstream Hosted PBX?
When phone calls are made to emergency services, those calls are tracked to a physical address. It’s important for you to know that your office phone will be assigned to your company’s address. Regardless of where you are, and no matter where you plug in your phone, if you call 911, help will be dispatched to your company’s address. Therefore, Everglades recommends that you do not use your IP phone to call 911 if you are not in your office.
