How does 5 mgs of hydrocodone compare to 5 mgs of oxycodone?
Oxycodone is about 1.5 times stronger than Hydrocodone, according to the chart at my doctor’s office. It’s what works the best for me when I’m in pain, better than Morphone, even. Mr. “Street Rx” up there is wrong, though… Oxycodone in this case is not “oxycotton” (which people should learn to spell) because the lowest dose of Oxycontin is currently 10 mgs, though Purdue is coming out with several new strengths, including 5 mgs. He also never got “500” or “75) mgs of either drug unless he’s talking about the Tylenol that is in them. They both come in 5 mgs, 7.5 mgs, and 10 mgs… 500 mgs or 750 mgs of either drug would kill someone.
