How does 18th century slavery link to 21st century racism?

KKK- During slavery they were like the slave police who rode horses making sure slaves never escaped and used fear to keep slaves in control after slavery they formed into the KKK. Racism- The institution of slavery in America was race based and those differences survived after slavery and black people now being free was not a happy thought for many white people who knew their ancestors use to own theirs and other white people simply saw them as an inferior race and racially hatred grew.

Slavery in the 18th century was tantamount in creating nations such as the United States. Without slavery we would be nothing more than a third world nation today. In the 21st century African Americans still have not been acknowledged for this contribution. The American government has never accepted any form of responsibility for these actions and continues to ignore broken promises from the past. Hurricane Katrina ruined the homes of thousands of black people; Bush visited them by having Air Force One fly over New Orleans at 30,000 ft. A few years later a bridge went out in Minnesota killing 8 white people and Bush visited the site the next day. FEMA has yet to compensate victims of hurrican Katrina but the bridge in Minnesota was pledged 50 million dollars. Sound Crazy?? Check my sources, its true.
