How do Youth Racing competitors advance a class?
When age permits, you may automatically advance to the next class. If you have a birthday mid-season, it is your decision if you should advance to the next age group. For instance, if you are competing in the Junior 10-13 class and turn 14 mid season, it is your discretion to advance. A Junior racer (age 14 to 17) may petition to advance to the next class or division. The racer must submit their petition to MWR one week prior to the event. See the Competition Guidelines for additional information. Petitions need faxed to 208-459-3366. If a racer is new to MWR but has racing experience, he or she may submit a racing resume and request placement in a particular class. MWR will make the final determination on class placements.
