Google Maps for Mobile is a handy free GPS tracking application offered by Google for cell phones and PDAs. Once installed, Google Maps for Mobile operates much like any other GPS navigation device. Google Maps for Mobile will “find” your current location simply by opening the application. The application will also bookmark favorite locations and provide map and street views. Though most functions in Google Maps for Mobile are intuitive, the zoom functions are a bit obscure. Open Google Maps for Mobile on the device. The application will open to the most recent map. Click the “i” key on the keypad to zoom in. Allow the map to refresh. Repeat if a closer view is desired. Click the “o” key on the keypad to zoom out. Allow the map to refresh. Repeat, if desired.
