How Do You Write Romantic Fantasy Stories For Teens?
With the fantasy genre exploding with fantastic writers like J.K. Rowling, Anne McCaffrey, Tamora Pierce, Robin McKinley and Stephanie Meyers, people everywhere wonder how they do it. Teenagers and young adults have fabulous imaginations, and when you write for them you need to have a solid story in order to keep their attention. If you’re writing a romantic fantasy for teens, the romance and fantasy need to be just as essential to the story as the rest of the plot, otherwise it’s not going to float. Create a world and decide where your story will be held. If it’s held on Earth, you need to decide on the city or place, real or imagined. If the location is not on Earth, you need to decide where it is being held. Think about what the place is like and come up with buildings, cities and towns that represent it. If you’re focusing on any one country in particular, create a map (or if it’s somewhere on earth, buy one) and then create (or buy) a map of the city or place it takes place in.Inc
