How Do You Write An Original Screenplay?
Basically writing a screenplay is a simple process. All that the writer has to do is imagine the movie in his/her mind. And then write down everything that is seen and heard. Could anything be simpler? Write down your ideas. Of course you need to have some to start with. They can come from anywhere and everywhere. Maybe a line in a news story, what if something else happened rather that what did, or what if someone hijacked the space shuttle. Find your own at jot them down. Develop your best idea into a concept. Choose the idea that most appeals to you and write down the key things that would occur if this idea happened. From your concept, list those key events that will tell the story. Write character sketches. Who are the people who are involved in yours story: your protagonist and antagonist, and supporting players. Write the story in a beat outline format. These are the key scenes that tell your story: the beginning, the middle steps, forward and backward, and finally the conclusio
