Many high school teachers and college professors want the research papers you have written to be handed in with a bibliography cited MLA style. They tend to be very picky when grading research papers and will significantly lower your grade if the bibliography is not in the correct format. Here’s a guide to citing your research sources correctly. The Works Cited appears at the end of your research paper. It is a separate work of itself, so start your Works Cited at the top of a new page. Start with your title, “Works Cited”, centered one inch from the top of the page. Double space your Works Cited paper and remember not to include extra lines in between entries. Every citation of a research source needs to start at the left margin. The only time you need to indent is if your citation is longer than one line. Then you use a 1/2 inch hanging indentation to begin your second line.
