Gathering the facts and evidence is a little easier to translate into writing, where as Introductions and Conclusions have to include attention grabbers and flowery language. They are your reader’s first and last impression of your paper, which can determine how they view and grade your work. Here are a few tips to help you write a good Introduction and Conclusion: Write the body of your paper first. Often times what you set out to discuss doesn’t end up being the finished product. Write your paper first, and then take a few notes that answer these questions: What are you trying to accomplish (what is your thesis)? What are your arguments?
