How do you write an article and what are the steps in submitting it to a newspaper company?
I have written newspaper articles before. I am not a journalist – just a citizen. What I did was simply to look up the procedure to send the article which the newspaper had prescribed. My newspaper allowed us to email them the Open Editorial articles. So I emailed them. You too should check in the newspaper you are sending your article to. They would have written what are the ways to send the articles. – email, post or whatever. Such information is usually given in the open editorial page.Ask you mom’s friend to give you the proper procedure for that newspaper and then follow it. In open editorial articles they often dont seek the writer’s identity apart from what the writer himself says. Note: This may change from newspaper to newspaper. You dont need to type in your age if they dont ask for it. Just write that you are a citizen. Dont lie and if possible dont write anything about yourseld if you are not sure of your credentials.
