How Do You Write An Abstract For A Science Project?
Many science projects require you to write an abstract, or overview of your experiment. An abstract is normally brief (less than 250 words, depending on your school) and is the first part of your project that will be read, so it should be well-written and accurate. State the “Introduction” or “Purpose” to your abstract by explaining the origins of your experiment. Include why you were curious to find out the result of the project and why the judge reading your abstract should also care. Use active language, but also be plain in what you say. Write the “Problem Statement,” which tells judges what you set out to solve.
