How Do You Write A Resume With No Work Experience?
Whether you’re a high school student wanting to make some extra cash, a young adult just out of college, or a stay-at-home mom about to enter (or re-enter) the working world, you may be finding yourself facing a dilemma: you need to write a resume, but you have no work experience. It is still possible, however, to write up an impressive resume to present to a prospective employer even if you have never held a job before. Brainstorm. Have you ever done any volunteer work? Did you ever participate in a club or in JROTC? Do you have or have you had any responsibilities at your church or synagogue, or in your community? Have you ever babysat your little sister or mowed the neighbors’ lawn? Have you ever organized anything, such as a bake sale? All of these are things you can put in your resume.
