When I was repeatedly sending out the same recipes to family and friends, I decided it was time to compile all of the family favorites into a family cookbook. As I worked on the project, I realized that the family cookbook would also be the perfect place to record favorite family memories. Go through all of your well used recipes and pull out the ones that family and friends have enjoyed the most. These are usually the ones that people request after you’ve prepared them. Go to Microsoft Office Word and select the page set-up that you plan to use for all of your recipes. Consistency in this area makes the cookbook much easier to use.
