When selling a used vehicle, it’s important to create a contract that protects all parties involved. The contract should lay out the terms of the sale, the type of vehicle involved and what types of payment are acceptable to the seller. Plus, the seller should be clear about what documents will be furnished at the time of sale, such as vehicle title, odometer disclosure statement and smog inspection results. Create a line for the seller and buyer information. The first line of your contract should state that the seller agrees to sell the buyer the vehicle.
