Welcoming a child into a family is most certainly an exciting event, which requires a special announcement to family and friends. When you are welcoming a child who has been adopted internationally, the announcement takes on new meaning as it becomes a way for you to share your child’s history and culture with important people in your life. Select the type of paper you will use. Heavy card stock works best. When picking a color, choose a color that is important in your child’s birth culture. Fold the paper in half, or use a half sheet for each announcement. Use rubber stamps or acid free scrapbook stickers to decorate the perimeter of the announcement.
