How Do You Write A Bereavement Sympathy Card?
The purpose of sending a sympathy greeting card is, of course, to offer your condolences and sympathy to the person who has suffered a loss. We know it is the right thing to do, but many of us procrastinate because we don’t know what to say and are fearful that we may write something inappropriate and make the grieving person feel worse. Do not hold back, though, because you are unable to say things perfectly as ones who have lost a loved one in death very much appreciate receiving a sympathy card and often read the sentiments offered again and again to receive comfort. What, though, can you write in a sympathy card that would be of benefit to the grieving person? Express your shared sadness and grief over the death of their loved one. You might say, “I share your sadness on the loss of your mother,” or “I was so sorry to hear that you lost your father.” Offer to help in some way.
