How Do You Wrap Memory Wire With Fabric?
Memory wire is commonly used in crafts, jewelry-making and other projects when a wire that keeps its shape is needed. This tough, wire circle always springs back to its original shape. Cover it with fabric to create unique jewelry, such as bracelets, or to create a fabric-covered frame for small pictures or mirrors. Anybody can quickly complete this project in a matter of minutes. Measure the length of your memory wire that you want to cover in fabric. Cut a strip of fabric 1/2 inch wide (or as wide as necessary to completely cover your memory wire circle’s width) plus 1/8 inch seam allowance. Cut the strip the length of your memory wire circle, plus 1/8 inch long seam allowance. Cut small, one centimeter-long notches on one edge of the fabric strip spaced every two centimeters.
