Hobbies today not only involve fabrics and wood, but are using metal in projects. Steel art, car body repair, and do it yourself fixing requires working with many metal tools. Working with metal can be fun, but difficult. Following the proper techniques and being safe can make working with metal tools a routine practice. Cut metal the non-electric way with hand held metal scissors. Beware of the sharp edges they create. Cut metal electrically with electric grinders and cut-off saws. Clamp the piece to be cut tightly in the vise on the machine and cut the metal as needed. Cut metal with propane/acetylene oxygen torches. Turn of the oxygen and propane/acetylene tanks, Turn on the gas valves on the torch cutter handle. Light the gas and adjust the gas knobs on the torch cutter handle till the flame is pointy and blue. Run the torch along metal you want cut. Weld metal together with a variety of welders. Ground the piece of metal to be welded with the welder grounding clamp. Put on leather
