Skid loaders, also known as Bobcats, are used for a variety of outdoor projects. Different attachments allow the Bobcat to perform a multitude of tasks. With the fork attachment, for example, they can be used as a fork lift. They can have a trenching attachment put on them for trenching out area for pipes. The most-used attachment, though, is the bucket. This can be used to move dirt, snow and perform many landscaping tasks. To work a skid loader Bobcat, you need to know how the controls work and practice with it for awhile. Climb into the Bobcat and put the seat belt on. Some may have a safety bar that needs to be lowered. Start the Bobcat by putting the key in the ignition and pushing the start button. Drive forward by pushing the two handles forward.
