How Do You Work A Back Up Camera In An Escalade EXT?
The Cadillac Escalade EXT does not come standard with a back up camera; however, it is included with the technology package as part of the navigation system. This system should be turned on by factory default, but it’s possible that someone disabled it. If it is disabled, you can easily re-enable it and begin using the back-up camera. It’s a handy safety feature when trying to back up in tight spaces. Turn on your engine and make sure the Escalade is in “Park.” Press the “Config” button beneath your navigation screen, and then touch “Display” on the screen. Press the button (on the touchscreen) labeled “Rear Camera Options.” Press the section labeled “Video” to turn on the back-up camera. Put your foot on the brake and shift into “Reverse.” Watch the navigation screen closely.
