How Do You Wire Two Doorbells To One Transformer?
If you want separate bells for your front and back doors, you only need one transformer. It must be rated at 10 volts, along with the bells or buzzers. Since home designs vary radically, you will need to know how to route wires through your house to the components, without specific instructions. You also need to find a place to put your transformer near a standard wall outlet, and how to attach a plug to plug it in. Each component in the setup has only two connection points for the rest of the setup. Place the transformer in a convenient location, near a wall socket so you can plug it in. In choosing the location, remember that you need to run wires from it to both doorbells and both buttons. Connect two wires to one of the output terminals on the transformer. One wire must be long enough to reach one doorbell, and the other to reach the second doorbell. Strip the wires one-half inch back, twist them together and bend them into a hook. Place them under one screw terminal and tighten it
