Pull the wires through the back of the box. The plastic-covered wires should be 2 to 3 inches through the back of the box. Strip the plastic covering off the ends of the wire with a wire stripper. You must expose an inch of the wires. Remove the caps from the ends of the second set of wires. Set the caps aside. Line up the wires by color.
