For many drivers, having a nice pair of subwoofers can greatly enhance the driving experience. You may have decided that you want to hook up your own system but haven’t done it before, or you may just be curious what is involved if you ever decide to beef up your stereo. While hooking up your stereo can take some time, some basic wiring combined with common sense will allow you to hook up your own amplifier and subwoofers without paying the large amount charged by professional installers. Disconnect the battery. On a side terminal battery you can use a pliers to slowly loosen and disconnect the negative terminal first and then do the same for the positive. Never let the negative terminal touch metal before the positive terminal is disconnected. Replace the positive terminal with the terminal extension. This extension will provide an area to bolt on the eyelet for your amplifier power wire. Simply loosen the terminal from its housing and pull it out. Install the new terminal by securing
