How Do You Wire Planet Audio Subwoofers?
Planet Audio manufactures a line of audio equipment, including subwoofers, for cars and trucks. Subwoofers use plug-and-play audio jacks for easy connections to the amplifier and multiple subs. You can bridge (wire together) two subs to maximize the power of one amplifier. Follow these steps to get hooked up and cranking heavy bass. Disconnect the amplifier from the power supply. Removing the positive cable from the car battery is a fast way to shut off all power to the equipment. Remove the subs from their enclosures by taking out the eight Phillips head screws that hold the subs in place. Save the screws in a plastic cup or other container so you won’t lose them. Plug a positive subwoofer cable into the positive jack of the first Planet Audio subwoofer you wish to connect. Plug the other end of the cable into the positive jack of your amplifier.
