How Do You Wire Motion Sensing Flood Lights?
Flood lights are a deterrent against burglars and other criminals who would target your house. They can also illuminate pathways and highlight danger spots around the house, such as the pool and flights of stairs. Adding motion sensors to these flood lights saves electricity and can startle burglars approaching a dark house. Careful positioning of the motion sensors can cut back on false triggers, such as animals and leaves. Select a location for the lights. Target dark corners of the house and yard if your intent is to beef up security around your house, along with possibly entryways such as windows. Install the lights between 6 and 10 feet above the ground. Turn off power to the installation area using the main breaker box. Don safety gear, including thick gloves, protective glasses and a dust mask. Locate the closest electrical conduit, unscrew the plate and attach the motion sensor’s extension box. This is your flood light’s power source; the extension box is the base from which yo
