An RJ45 connector is commonly used to connect Ethernet cable to various Ethernet devices. It’s a type of 8 pin 8 contact (8P8C) connector that connects each of the eight wires in an Ethernet cable to a separate pin in the connector. These eight wires each have their own insulating sheath, and the entire set of wires is surrounded by an outer protective jacket. Trim the end of the cable by making a clean cut at a right angle all the way through the cable with the cutting portion of the stripper.
