When you purchase a new laundry center, you will need to wire the electrical cord to the unit. You will need to inspect the electrical connection for your home. Some homes still have the three- prong outlet while most homes will have a four-prong outlet. You must use the correct cord for your outlet. You will also need to purchase a strain relief connector to secure the power cord to the unit. Remove the screw securing the terminal block cover to the rear of the laundry center with a Phillips-head screwdriver. Install a U.L. approved strain relief connector into the blank hole beside the terminal block access. The connector uses a retaining nut to secure the connector to the back of the dryer. Loosen the two screws on the outside of the strain relief connector with a Phillips-head screwdriver.
