Sim City 3000, like all games in the Sim City series, is an open-ended city building game. To play the game, you must manage your resources carefully, deal with traffic and pollution and keep expansion to a pace that will draw more citizens to your city. Since there is no overall goal and the game never ends you can never really “win” the game, but you can certainly create a successful city. There’s a big difference between a successful city and a failure that will quickly turn into a ghost town–your successful city is likely to win you more resources and keep the game going well. Choose a terrain with which you are comfortable. A good terrain will have a river or coastline and be relatively flat.
