How Do You Win At Fantasy Hockey?
A fantasy hockey league may feature different statistics from other sports, but the basics are still similar. Whether you’re playing in a Rotisserie or Fantasy Points league, winning often takes more luck than skill. Knowing the game of hockey and the trends of the league, however, can help assemble a team that will pile the points. Know the rules and scoring system of your fantasy hockey league. The simplest leagues usually consist of ten-player teams adding up the points they score. More complex leagues can include depth charts, salary caps and complete stats like goalie numbers, plus-minus and penalties. Make sure a player is active before you draft him. Getting someone who’s hurt or injury prone is always a disaster. A player in a contract holdout, even just for one or two games, will set you back. Go for numbers, not just names. Many hockey players become stars from intangibles such as toughness. In fantasy hockey, scoring numbers are all that matter. Look for consistent veterans.
