With the latest release of the Windows Vista operating system, Microsoft has included an update to the Windows Media Center software that allows users to watch television shows, including some free content. The new version of Windows Media Center includes new features that allow for new television formats and high-definition programming. Open the Start menu by clicking on the icon in the lower-left corner of the screen. Click on the “Windows Media Center” icon to launch the multimedia center. Use the left and right arrows on your keyboard to scroll to the “TV + Movies” section of the media center. Scroll down to the “Online Media” section, where the free video content is stored. Navigate to the “Showcase” category at the top of the screen, and then select the program that you want to watch. Playback should begin within a few seconds.
