How Do You Wash Windows Using Squeegee Basics?
Washing windows removes the dirt, then using a squeegee removes the water to reveal a sparkling pane. Practice with the squeegee to perfect a method. Work in a manner that produces fluid motion. You know you have the technique when there’s no streaks left behind. Dampen a cloth and clean around the window frame. Start at the bottom corner and work around to the other bottom corner. Wipe the edge of the glass where it meets the frame. Work quickly so that the window doesn’t dry. Submerge the sponge in the bucket of prepared cleaning solution. Wet the windows with the sponge. Rub out any hand prints or marks on the window. Wipe across the top of the window to prevent drips. Put a towel or tarp directly under the window to protect the floor or carpet. Place the squeegee blade up against the top edge of the glass. Push one end of the squeegee against the vertical edge of the window.
