Bead-weaving looks complicated, but it isn’t. With a few supplies, you can enjoy the benefits of weaving. Setting up a loom to make woven bracelets with beads doesn’t have to be difficult. Here is one way to wrap your loom. Soon you will be on your way to making woven bracelets, belts and other things with beads. In selecting your supplies, make sure your thread is a strong one, like silk or Nymo. Otherwise, it will fray or break, causing you to go in and repair it later. Adjust the length on your bead loom if it has adjustable lengths. Make sure your loom is the length needed for your project. Locate the hooks, tees or pegs at each end. These will anchor your thread and keep it from slipping. If your loom doesn’t have anything included to wrap the ends of the thread around for this purpose, you can use golf tees.
