How Do You Volunteer At The Animal Shelter?
Volunteering at your local animal shelter is a great way to spend your time while making a difference in a life, whether it’s a dog, cat, sometimes even bunnies! There are so many ways you can help out and it is all appreciated. Shelters are always in need of volunteers willing to play with and exercise the animals. Simply spending quiet time with a hyperactive dog or playing chase-the-feather with that old cat help animals become more adoptable. It also helps the staff because they’re busy setting up visits, feeding, cleaning, and checking animals’ health status which often leaves them with little or no time to spend with the animals themselves. Those dishes the animals eat out of don’t clean themselves. While it’s a dirty job doing a few dishes or loads of laundry helps the staff to focus on more important matters and enables the animals to have a clean and healthy living space.
