How Do You Visit The San Diego Zoo?
The San Diego Zoo is famous worldwide for its large collection of animals. It’s one of the only zoos in the world with giant pandas and many other rare species. If you’re traveling to San Diego, the San Diego Zoo is not to be missed. The zoo can get very crowded on peak days, so it’s important to plan your San Diego Zoo visit before arriving. First, buy your tickets beforehand (see my other articles for information on how to find discount tickets!). Buying your tickets the day of can result in waiting in long lines at the ticket booths, not to mention having to pay full price. Buy your tickets online beforehand, print them out and bring them to the gates. Next, when you first walk into the zoo, take a look at the schedule you are handed with your zoo map. This schedule includes animal feedings, shows and other information. Arrive at the zoo’s opening time (9am mostly year round), the first feeding happens at 9:30 am and this is a great time to catch some up close time with the animals.
