How Do You Visit The Mayan Archaeological Park Uxmal?
As if touring ancient Mayan ruins isn’t interesting enough, Yaxchilan offers even more adventure than other ancient Mayan cities. This very exciting archaeological park is located in the State of Chiapas, Mexico, and cannot be reached by bus, train or car. All visitors must take a boat down the Usumacinta River or charter a small plane to get here. Hire a boat tour from the small city of Frontera Corozal to get you and your group down the Usumacinta River which is located between the State of Chiapas, Mexico and Guatemala. The river boats are no cruise liners, but the sites that you will see are worth buying some motion sickness pills. Notice that to your right is Guatemala and to your left, Mexico.
