How Do You Visit The Best Seneca Lake Wineries?
Seneca Lake has some of the best “unknown” wineries in the country. With over 25 wineries on the lake, this is a guide to the Top 10 must visits. 1) Anthony Road Wine Company is the perfect place to start the day. This winery has a beautiful tasting room and store. They also have a lovely garden that provides the perfect place for an early afternoon stroll. While there I recommend tasting the Semi-dry Riesling and of course Tony’s Red, which is one of the many hybrids found along the lake. Tony’s Red is a delightful wine that’s made for sipping or drinking. You pick your mood. 2) After you leave Anthony Road head south and follow the signs to Miles Wine Cellars. This winery is an old mansion sitting on the shore of Seneca Lake. Don’t trip over the dog on your way in the door and be sure to ask for a taste of the Riesling. Miles is my personal choice for best Riesling on the Lake. They also have the best bottle art with their “Ghost” wine. Be sure to ask for your free ghost story while
