How Do You Visit The Andy Warhol Museum?
The Andy Warhol Museum in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, is part of a series of four museums managed by the Carnegie Institute. Andy Warhol is best known for his work in pop art and his numerous contributions in painting and filmmaking. The museum is open from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. every day except Mondays. There are over 500 items on display, plus an extensive collection of films. You can watch some of Warhol’s most controversial films, including “Sleep,” “Empire”, “Blow Job” and “Chelsea Girls,” an experiment featuring two films shown at the same time in split-screens. Warhol’s work is, at a minimum, controversial, but some people might find it offensive. Many of his paintings, drawings and media work explore the artist’s obsession with sex, gay culture and body fluids.
