Located off The Embarcadero just east of Fisherman’s Wharf, Pier 39 offers the visitor hours of entertainment, attractions, shopping, and dining. There are street performers, theater productions and a city aquarium. Off the west side of the pier, sea lions float on a stationary dock and bark. The pier is an entertainment destination in an area of San Francisco already full of things to do and see. Plan the visit in the fall when the flow of visitors diminishes somewhat.
