Ocean Grove is a beach community on the Atlantic Ocean located in New Jersey. Established in 1869, Ocean Grove is a summer camp meeting site for Methodists who continue to own land rights to the seashore community. Today, Ocean Grove is a popular seaside resort for everyone. At one time driving and swimming were forbidden on Sundays. Since repealed it’s still a dry town, where alcohol is not sold. Cafes and shops line Main Avenue, the main thoroughfare, catering to tourists and residents who are attracted to the area known for its Victorian-era charm and style. To get to Ocean Grove, ride public transportation available through New Jersey Transit. Check the website for train and bus schedules. By vehicle, take the Garden State Parkway to exit 102 for Asbury Park. Follow the signs to Ocean Grove. On the New Jersey Turnpike, take exit 7a to I-195 East to Shore Points.
