How Do You Visit Morro Bay, California?
Morro Bay is a quaint, central California hamlet where time has stood still. Located just over 200 miles northwest of Los Angeles and only a few miles west of San Luis Obispo, off Highway 101, the bay has one unique natural feature other like towns don’t have: Morro Rock. This massive rock is just off shore and is connected to the mainland by a narrow two-lane causeway. However, the scenery while driving to the rock is somewhat hampered by a power plant located on the northern end of Embarcadero Road. Smoke stacks accentuate the unattractive building. A Monday or Tuesday stay may almost guarantee any visitor will have the town to themselves.
